Privacy Policy
OrthoCalculator is designed for calculation support without patient registration. Do not enter names, identifiers, clinical notes, or other patient-identifiable information.
1. Who we are
OrthoCalculator is provided through calculator.orthotoolkits.com by the operator of OrthoToolkits (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the website.
2. Information handled by the website
- Calculator entries: values entered into calculator fields are processed in your browser. They are not intentionally transmitted to our server.
- Local browser storage: calculation history, display theme, and policy-acceptance status may be stored on your device using browser local storage.
- Visit counters: the website increments separate aggregate page-view totals for the OrthoYantra homepage and OrthoCalculator. The counter does not intentionally store IP addresses, names, device identifiers or patient information. Refreshes, bots and repeat visits may increase the displayed totals.
- Technical information: our hosting provider may automatically process IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and security logs to deliver and protect the website.
3. Purposes and lawful handling
Information is handled only as reasonably necessary to provide the website, remember your preferences, maintain aggregate page-view totals, maintain security, diagnose faults, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it by clearing local website data or contacting us.
4. Patient and health information
The website does not request a patient account, patient name, medical record number, contact details, diagnosis, or medical history. Users must not enter identifiable health information. Calculator values should be anonymised before entry.
5. Cookies and local storage
OrthoCalculator currently uses local browser storage for functional preferences, calculation history, and acceptance records. We do not currently use advertising cookies. If analytics or additional cookies are introduced, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated.
6. Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal information. Limited technical information may be processed by hosting, security, domain, and infrastructure providers acting on our behalf. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect users, the public, or our legal rights.
7. External links
The website includes external links, including the Sri Dhatri Foundation website. External websites operate under their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for their content, security, payment processing, or data handling.
8. Retention
Local calculation history and preferences remain on your device until you clear them. Aggregate page-view totals may be retained for operational reporting. Hosting and security logs are retained according to the relevant provider’s settings and applicable legal requirements.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for securing their device and browser and for avoiding entry of confidential or identifiable information.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request information about personal data we control, correction, erasure, grievance handling, or withdrawal of consent. Browser-stored information can be removed by clearing site data. Requests may require reasonable identity verification.
11. Children
The website is intended for healthcare professionals and adult users. It is not directed to children and should not be used by a child to submit personal information.
12. International access
If you access the website outside India, technical information may be processed in locations used by our service providers. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with local requirements.
13. Changes
We may revise this policy to reflect legal, technical, or service changes. The effective date and version will be updated, and renewed acceptance may be requested for material changes.
14. Contact and grievances
Privacy or grievance enquiries should be submitted to the operator through the contact channel published on orthotoolkits.com. The operator should publish a monitored privacy email address and legal identity before public launch.
